The airport is Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL).

There is public transit (called Marta) in Atlanta, including a subway station in the airport. Public transit does not go out to the venue. Rideshare services like Uber and Lyft do go out to the venue, and we encourage their use if guests plan to drink.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Our venue is a 30- to 45-minute drive from the city of Atlanta, so it is reasonable to stay in Atlanta and travel to the venue from there. If you are just popping in for the wedding, you may prefer to stay near the venue.

Hampton Inn Atlanta – Stockbridge 9.4 miles from Shamrock Community Use Building, about a 20-minute drive.

Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites – Stockbridge 9.1 miles from venue, 19-minute drive.

Hotel Clermont This recently renovated boutique hotel is in a great location in the Poncey-Highland area in the heart of the city. 26.4 miles from the venue, a 36-minute drive.

SpringHill Suites by Marriott Atlanta Downtown This highly rated hotel is very close to Atlanta attractions like the Georgia Aquarium and World of Coke. 25.9 miles from the venue, 39-minute drive.

Sheraton Atlanta Hotel Another option in downtown Atlanta, close to public transit (Peachtree Marta) and major highways. 24.7 miles from the venue, a 34-minute drive.

Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead a top-rated hotel not far from our apartment, close to luxury shopping and activities in downtown Buckhead. 31.6 miles or a 45-minute drive to the venue.

I-75 Northbound from Middle and South Georgia:

  • Take 1-75 North to Exit 221 (Jonesboro Rd).
  • Turn west on Jonesboro Road.
  • Stay on this road 6.3 miles.
  • Turn west on Jonesboro Road.
  • Turn right onto Freeman Road.
  • Travel 1.5 miles to Shamrock Road (which is in the middle of a sharp curve).
  • Turn right onto Shamrock Road. The Shamrock CUB is located at the end of the street

I-75 Southbound from Atlanta:

  • Take I-75 South to Exist 235 (Tara Blvd. or Hwy 19/41).
  • Travel south towards Jonesboro/Griffin.
  • Stay on this road for 8 miles.
  • Turn left onto Freeman Road (It is the next left after the traffic light from South Main Street. Look for the railroad crossing and the Freeman Road Water Production Complex on the left.)
  • Travel 2.4 miles to Shamrock Road (which is in the middle of a sharp curve).
  • Turn left onto Shamrock Road. The Shamrock CUB is located at the end of the street

From I-20 east of Atlanta:

  • Take I-20 to I-285; then south (or west) on I-285 to I-675 (exit 52).
  • Continue south on I-675 until it merges onto I-75 South and stay on I-75 to Exit 221 (Jonesboro Rd).
  • Stay on this road for 6.3 miles.
  • Turn right onto Freeman Road.
  • Travel 1.5 miles to Shamrock Road (which is in the middle of a sharp curve).
  • Turn right onto Shamrock Road. The Shamrock CUB is located at the end of the street.
  • Note: Jonesboro Rd. becomes McDonough Rd. when you cross into Clayton County.
